Baby Stuff

Every once in a while I'm inspired to dig through the stash and cut up
kits" for myself using random combinations of fabric and patterns from books I've had forever...  some of my favorite quilts have come out of this (and a few "what was I thinking" ones, too!)

This is the latest of my kit finishes -- it's going to be gifted to a very expectant friend this afternoon.  I'm calling it "A Squeeze of Lime".

The pattern is "Twinkle" from Kim Brackett's Scrap-Basket Sensations.  It's funny that I always thought I hated lime green -- I can't wear it at all -- but I've developed a real love for it in quilts.

And, at the request of the mother-to-be, I also made a boob hat for the baby, to be worn while breast-feeding.  The pattern is here.
