Lucky Break

This is Al's truck after someone plowed into him on the freeway a few days ago. The cost of repairs is VERY close to the blue book value of the truck, but the insurer decided to fix it rather than calling it a total.

You can see how lucky he was that the hit came just behind the driver's seat... He came out of it a bit(!) startled but otherwise unscathed.

There's a crazy stretch of freeway here called "the maze" where two roads come together and then diverge again, with lots of folks criss-crossing -- two vehicles in the next lane collided and one lost control and veered into Al. Phew!

I posted this yesterday but noticed this morning that it had completely disappeared... strange things happening on Blogger!

Glad he's ok - like you say - could have been a lot worse x

Wow! Al's very lucky that the other car only hit him behind where he sits. Glad to hear that they're going to fix it instead of totaling it. They never give you enough money to buy a real replacement vehicle.

So glad he wasn't badly hurt! Scary.

Blogger had some kind of a brain fart from mid-day yesterday until early this afternoon. They promised to put back up everything that came down. My post from yesterday went back up around four o'clock today. Quite mysterious.

Glad Al is OK. Is that stretch of road coming off of the Bay Bridge sort of headed towards Hayward/Walnut Creek?
