Bloggers' Quilt Festival

I know I just posted the finish of this quilt recently, but I like it a lot and it's my entry in the current round of Bloggers' Quilt Festival!

I like patterns that are based on blocks but allow a lot of opportunity to play with the arrangement of color. Since I've been in a monochromatic mood lately I also really liked playing with such a variety of greens -- and using up some odd bits in the process.

Be sure to visit the Festival page for links to all the other participants.

I like the strong geometric design of this quilt. You have used greeens in a successful way. Great quilt! --Julia

Oh, wow. I LOVE this quilt. Love how even though it's one block, it looks scrappy and random. Gorgeous! And great color choices too!

I love it, too!

Really nice! I'm guessing a monochromatic quilt would be really hard to put together, and this one really works! No wonder you love it.

Very interesting quilt. I love how graphic it is. Is this your own design or did you use a pattern? Really great!

Your experimentation with the simple style and a monochromatic color scheme turned into a fascinating quilt.

I love the monochromatic look. It's definitely something I want to try my hand at eventually - it's on the to do list :)

I also like this quilt very much, I think for the same reason you do. And thanks for the heads up about the festival. I would have missed it otherwise.

I just finished commenting on the previous quilt - also green - that I'm not too sure about green quilts. But now here is the second one in a row which is quite lovely! Maybe I do like green quilts.

Love the peaceful simplicity of the blocks and the freeform piecing that is random yet controlled with the monochromatic color scheme. Feels like a walk through tall grass or in a shady forest.
