Post #300 and anniversary - Giveaways!

Some bloggers get to post #300 in a matter of months... not me! I checked the list and it's actually been just about exactly4 years... but then I'm not super talkative in real life, either.

Anyway, in honor of those two milestones I've decided to do two giveaways -- both are designed to help you (and me) use up some of the fabric you've been collecting.

First up is a book called "Fat Quarter Frenzy" by Susan Purney-Mark and Daphne Grieg. It has a mix of contemporary and more traditional quilts that would be great in scraps, FQs, or ...The second book is "Fabric Leftovers" by D'Arcy-Jean Milne. It has lots of ideas for accessories and decorative objects made from all sizes and types of scraps.
Each book will be accompanied by some fabric and some other doo-dads I haven't figured out yet!

To enter, leave a comment on this post with your favorite color pallete and whether you have a strong preference for one book or the other. I will do a random number drawing on March 15 in the evening, Pacific Coast time.

Happy Blogiversary! My favorite color palettes are the analogous ones, with blue-green-purple at the top of the list. (Hmmm, suspciously like this month's lotto block ;-)
I'd be happy to win the Leftovers book–they both look great and I'm sure will be useful to whomever wins. What a nice giveaway.

I'd be tickled to win the Frenzy book. My usual favorite color palate is batik on black. Or teal through periwinkle. Lately, however, I've been fantasizing about yellow, of all things, with big blowsy flowers. I may be losing my mind.

Word Verification: accon, the tail of a paisley

How lovely! I would enjoy either of the books. My stash mostly consists of fat quarters and leftovers. I love scrappy!

Happy blogversary!Great giveaway!
If I won i'd be happy with either book but the leftover book looks really interesting. My favorite color palate has been brown/tan/oranges but after this long snowy winter nice spring colors like purples and greens have been appealing. So I like both fall colors and spring.

Congrats on the milestone. (No prizes for me.)

Both of those books look amazing but I am a big fan of Susan Purney Mark so that would be my choice. I love any color palette that looks like spring these days.

What a nice thing to do! I think I'll look and see if I have an anniversary anywhere near. Meanwhile, my preference would be for the fat FQs book and lately I've been using blue/orange and brown.

Me, Me, Me! Either book would be great, but #1 choice would be the Fat Quarter Frenzy. My favorite pallete is woods, forests, shadowy, greens, outdoors, and skies.

BIG happy blogiversary!!! It's been a fun journey, hasn't it? Can't believe what we did BEFORE blogs!

Congratulations on your anniversary. I still haven't started to blog, our internet connection is way too slow and it's very frustrating.
I do enjoy reading your blogs and especially like the blue you are currently working on.

Congrats on 300 posts! I'm getting close to 500. Didn't realize how many I've done.
The give away looks great... really anything that helps me use up scraps is amazing. I've got tons!

Your not super talkative? Well okay but you're sure fun and cute in the way you post. I'm a new reader so I haven't been around for all those years but I can tell just in the recent current era of Floribunda Quilts. Congratulations! You must be enjoying it - you're still with it and that, well that rocks!

Both books look interesting but I think the FQ book would be most useful. As far as a color palette goes, I seem to be stuck in a black and white with one other color rut, especially lime green.

Congratulations on post #300. Maybe I'll hit 300 before my 5 year mark. I love your Weed Whacker blocks--the controlled color palette looks very nice in this pattern.

The leftover book looks very appealing to me. I'm always interested in new ways to use scraps.
