Virtual Quilt Show

Today is the first day of the virtual quilt show, hosted by Park City Girl -- visit her blog to see the complete list of participants.

This was the first "big" quilt I made -- it was a block of the month on Planet Patchwork, and I remember waiting impatiently for each new section to be posted! I've always liked the brights-on-black look, even when I was a little girl, and I love the way these various blocks fit together like a puzzle. The pattern was called "Chaos Harmony" but I call mine Celestial Chaos.

Thanks for looking!

Beautiful quilt! The brights on black always reminds me of the graphic Amish quilts. I'm impressed with the size of it .. I haven't made a big quilt yet. Cheers!

This Q is lovely. I'm fascinated how Qs with different sized blocks look so organized. What a special first Q you made.

The sampler quilt I made one year is hanging in my hallway as I write this--it's deep-toned, fall-color quilt and I love all the different blocks. I'll bet you had a great time making this, and I think its' incredible that it's your first quilt. Welcome aboard the quilting train!

You do very well with Samplers, Julie! The outer border...is it pieced or a plaid? It's lovely!

And I love both names for the quilts...yours and the *printed* title.

This quilt does have a puzzle look! You did a beautiful job and it would take an hour to fully study all the blocks :) I would not have guessed that it was a BOM. Thank you for sharing your quilt's story.
