Fall into Fall

And the winners are... Terri in first place and Pat (hyacinth) in second! I'll send emails, too. Thanks to everyone who came by and commented -- it was a lot of fun to discover new blogs.

Everybody's talking about the "Fall Into Fall" giveaways, and since I'm definitely going to win at least three prizes (what confidence!) I figured I'd better offer a giveaway of my own. The deal is that you need to leave me a comment on this post before October 15 and tell me what your favorite fall food is. On the 15th, I'll pull two names out of my hat -- for these items:
The first name will win her (or his) choice of these two little paper-pieced goodies, which I will finish into a little quilt, along with a few sheets of handmade paper suitable for card-making or other crafty stuff (pictured above). The second name will win the "other" paper-pieced goody, also finished into a little quilt. Both of these are from Paper Panache mysteries from months past. You can read about the rest of the giveaways here on Debi's blog. There are at least 40 bloggers participating and some terrific prizes being given away-- Happy Autumn!

p.s. my favorite fall food is Pears -- baked into almost anything, with a little bit of fresh ginger.

Mmmmm... apple crisp, made in a big pan so it's thin for the perfect ratio of crumbly oatmeal & cinnamon goodness to apple-y deliciousness. Delish!

Just one favorite! I can't choose between, fresh applesauce, roasted pumpkin seeds, pumpkin pie, anything in a crock pot on a cold, rainy day...and the list goes on!

Turkey baked slow in the oven, the smell makes my mouth water for hours.

Oh most definitely pumpkin pie! I could eat it morning, noon and night with whipped cream. I cannot wait for the pumpkin pie (fall) season to start every year! LOL

I love Paper Panache too. I don't know if it's still there but I had one posted in her guest selection.

Pumpkin Pie is my favorite. I have a WW recipe that I use.

My favorite fall food is my friend Matt's recipe for stuffed peppers, over rice.

It's a beverage, not a food, but it's the only truly seasonal consumable thing that I love: APPLE CIDER. I can eat apples year-around and love apple pies and crisps the best, but Apple Cider is only available for a few too-short weeks in the fall. It's perfect cold. It's perfect hot and spiced. YUM. I think I need to go to Trax Farm and start getting my supply for the year :)

Ahh, you beat me to the question that I was going to ask. My favorite food would have to be an apple crisp, but a good pot roast is quite tempting as well.

Great paper piecing. I will have to check out that site. That bus is too cute.

della said...

It's got to be my own apple pie made with my Dad's apples from his orchard. One of the few things I can make and bake, and I love it!

Oh, me! Me! Me! Those blocks/quiltlets are adorable - I always intend to do the PP mysteries, but rarely actually do one!

Fall food? Pumpkin pie. Pumpkin and pecan pie (you can hear the choir of angels singing). Pumpkin bread pudding. Pumpkin custard.

Yes, there is a theme here... :-)

Your paper items are so darling! Pick me - pick me! ;-)

Amyb, the first entry, stole my answer! I love apple crisp at this time of year - and just as she stated: thin so you get lots of crumbly topping in every bite!

Of course in my version, you must have vanilla ice cream on top!

Happy October!
